In the Spring of 1992, six Centre County real estate professionals were thinking independently that there had to be a better way to practice real estate – to have an environment where professionalism and excellence were the rule not the exception, and mutual respect among the agents would create an atmosphere for growth and creativity.
By the summer of 1992, these six agents had joined together, partly by plan and partly by fate, to create for themselves and others the “ideal” office. They had looked into the RE/MAX concept, and soon all realized that RE/MAX International not only provided the best products and services for the agents, but was an outstanding organization with a genuine emphasis on quality.
The franchise was purchased in August of 1992, and the office opened on December 10, 1992, with the emphasis on providing service of uncompromising quality in the listing and selling of real estate and a commitment to the highest ethical standards in the performance of our obligations to clients and relations with other brokers and agents.
In 2005, with 31 full-time real estate professionals, RE/MAX Centre Realty completed 1430 transactions, in and around Centre County with an average of 46 transactions per agent.
RE/MAX Centre Realty is currently comprised of 31 full-time real estate professionals, of whom 72% hold the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation, 66% hold the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, 90% hold the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, one with the Certified New Home Sales Professional (CPS) designation and one with the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation. RE/MAX Centre Realty also has seven Associate Brokers, one with the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and the Real Estate Cyberspace Specialist (RECS), and two with the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation.
