Centre County Schools – A Cut Above The Rest
The quality of education is always a huge concern anytime you move into a new county. Having strong and prestigious school district helps ensure a happy and thriving young community, as well as a positive economy.
In Centre County, our schools combine age old traditions with newer learning techniques and emphasis on expanding our young students minds. Each classroom strives to have less than 15 students for one teacher, ensuring individualized attention and education for each child.
Centre Country Awards and Accolades
Out of over 350 districts in PA, Centre county has consistently been noted for excellence and is ranked within the top 30 schools in PA. In fact, in each consecutive year, Centre County School District (CCSD) has consistently risen in graduation and excellence rankings.
The district's balanced academic competitiveness, recognition for excellence, budget savvy, and small class size have received national acknowledgment. In fact, the State College Area High School earned a silver medal in U.S. News and World Report's premiere ranking of the nation's best high schools in 2008 and according to Newsweek Magazine, it was rated one of the "Top High Schools in the Country."
